- Abstract
- Examines the socio-political technology, used in the modern practice of Russia's “Direct line with Vladimir Putin”. Identified a number of its positive functions: political socialization of citizens, formation traditions of interaction between the authorities and society, mutual informing of the authorities and increase public confidence in the President and maintain his positive image. The negative aspects of this technology are also analyzed, including manipulative techniques and ideologization of mass consciousness. According to authors, “Direct lines...” contribute to the democratization of the political system.
