Abstract

Changes in the methods of collecting, processing and presenting data of Russian sociologists based on the analysis of all articles in the journal are revealed“Sociological research " for 1981, 1996 and 2011. The preferred methods of data collection have not changed much (with the exception of the spread of qualitative methods), and the use of statistical methods has remained low. The reasons for limited progress in data description and presentation are identified.
