Abstract
Data from two rounds of the survey of unemployed and job seekers, as well as experts in all regions of the Russian Federation, conducted with the assistance of Rostrud, are analyzed. The potential migration activity of the unemployed and job seekers is generally low. For most respondents, a significant incentive to migrate to other cities (regions) The main goal of Russia is a significant increase in wages and at the same time assistance in housing development in a new place of residence. There are no significant changes under the influence of the crisis in the situation in the regional labor markets. The conclusions about the limited capacity of the state in economic promotion of internal mobility and reducing tension on the labor markets of requiring territories due to labor surplus.
