- Abstract
- Factors that are endogenous and negatively affect the quality of empirical research in Russia are considered. Based on the existing symptoms of an “occupational disease” in this area and the analysis of the causes that give rise to them, the author substantiates the position that the processes of integration of methodological knowledge and integration of the sociological community must be coherent for its successful functioning as a whole. The problem of identifying the internal resources of the community for the development of empirical sociology is updated. A hypothesis is put forward about possibilities of transition to a new stage in the development of empirical sociology – integration.
