- Abstract
- In the context of the crisis of modern sociological science, we are seeing a growing lack of understanding between sociologists. The dominance of one of two types of thinking: verbal-logical or ideological-figurative leads to a shift in the perception of the main sociological discoveries and their subsequent distorted interpretation, as well as to theoretical and practical inconsistencies. In this connection, we can trace the presence of these two types of thinking in the scientific work of social thinkers and sociologists of different historical eras.
