- Abstract
- The results of a comparative analysis of the participation of Russian employees of companies with domestic and foreign capital in the process of preparing and discussing management decisions are presented. The problem of interaction of cultures with high and low power distance within the same organization is raised. The conclusion is made about the "background" influence of the Russian culture with a high power distance, which is manifested in low absolute indicators of involvement of Russian employees in management. In companies with foreign participation, there is a phenomenon of "importing" culture with a low power distance, this is manifested in a relatively large scale of participation, higher motivation and individual activity of their employees in the preparation and adoption of management decisions and the perception of their organizations as more "democratic".
