- Abstract
- The article analyzes the results of research on the historical consciousness of students in comparison with similar Russian and foreign works. The article reveals the status of the past in the historical consciousness of young people, sources of knowledge about the past, historical interests, the specifics of historical identification, the role of institutions in the ideas of young people, and ethnocentrism. The conclusion is made about the contradictory nature of the transformation of the historical consciousness of students, which is associated with the tendency to lose the fundamental the role of traditions as the basic value of historical consciousness and orientation, interest in family history.
