- Abstract
- The author examines the theory and practice of cultural socialization on the example of Kazakh youth. It is noted that in the conditions of modernization there is a transformation of values and the cultural distance between ethnic groups increases. Contradictions between the socio-cultural poles of Eurocentrism and pan-Turkism are recorded. Using a sociocultural opposition "Gorod-aul" highlights the traditional, mobilization and modernization models of socialization of the young generation; reveals the cultural dilemma “East-West " in the minds of young people.
