Abstract

The author objects to some contentions of V.Yu. Darensky's article Culture as anti-adaptation. It is argued that, in the perspective of a systemic approach, culture building can very well be viewed as an adaptation process, not only purely pragmatically, as a «life-support culture», but in a broader sense as well
