- Abstract
- A retrospective of emergence and development of minimalism is presented. It is considered to be a response to sophistication of social life and material environment in early 60-ies in the West and in the USSR. In the latter minimalism became demanded against the background of insufficient meeting of demand and it has made its mark on the architecture and painting.
