Abstract

Developing in the system of universally recognized principles of legal statehood, Russia, being subjected to severe sanctions pressure, demonstrates commitment to constitutionally significant values while maintaining sovereignty in foreign and domestic policy. The divergence of forces integrating Russia into the world community and assuming the need to preserve state independence actualizes the importance of studying constitutional identity. Finding a theoretical model of balance between two opposing forces is a very difficult task, and here, the opposing force – the counterforce, creates the foundation for the stability of interaction, supporting and strengthening a complex multi-level system, the stability of the elements of which determines the effectiveness of modern Russian statehood.
