Abstract

Reclaiming the place in the world, reinforcing protections on human rights, along with combating pandemic COVID-19 and its economic consequences, have become key priorities of the Biden’s presidential administration. The task of restoring American leading role on the global stage is to be realized under new administration’s approaches to developing rules and updating existing ones for the world. Meanwhile the median approval ratings of the U.S. leadership have reached their low levels till the end of the second decade in comparison with its beginning across 135 countries and areas. The results for 2020 poll among 29 countries has shown poor ratings of U.S. leadership which were down from the results of 2017 (the first year of Trump’s administration) in the same group. Approval of U.S. leadership was down to historic low levels even in a number of US allies countries, including United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, and pandemic is only one among other factors of this trend.
