Abstract

The article features reports on Canadian issues presented at the XII Convention of the Russian International Studies Association (RISA), which was held on October 21–22, 2019 at MGIMO (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. These presentations were included in the program of three sections. They addressed a wide range of issues related to various aspects of Canada’s home and foreign policy, Russian-Canadian relations, which were examined in the context of the results of the general elections held on October 21. A number of reports featured the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Law on official languages in Canada and were devoted to the language policy of Canada and Québec.
