- Abstract
Review of the monograph "American-German relations. 1938-1941: politics, diplomacy, priorities of the parties" [Petrosyants O.V., 2021], which is a historical study of relations between the United States and Nazi Germany from late 1938 to December 1941, from the Munich events to United States entry into World War II. The review focuses on the advantages of the monograph in terms of selection of sources and definition of internal stages in confrontation between the United States and Germany. The importance of the author's innovative approach to the multifactorial analysis of decision-making by the administration of F. Roosevelt is highlighted, as well as the author’s attention to the problems related to defense of the Western Hemisphere.
