Abstract
This article examines the words «perseverance» and «experience» in the context of Apostle Paul's Epistle to the Romans. The author proves that the original meaning of Apostle Paul's words can be misunderstood by speakers of modern Russian.The real issues are not only linguistic, that is the meaning of Greek and Russian words do not always coincide, but also cultural. The author demonstrates how a casual reading can lead to misinterpretation.
