Abstract
The article examines the symbolism of the rose in Russian poetry of the 18th - first half of the 19th centuries. The works of Trediakovsky, Lomonosov, Derzhavin, Pushkin, Lermontov, romantic poets Delvig, Batyushkov, Baratynsky and others are analyzed.
