- Abstract
- The article presents the results of the analysis of migration aspirations of residents of the Magadan region, reveals the spread of the illusion of the existence of open and accessible channels of upward social mobility, consisting in geographical movement to the so-called mainland, which is understood as the southern and Central regions of Russia. It is proved that geographical movement is a way to increase the subjective social status associated with modern characteristics of social mobility.
