Abstract

Shortcomings of the existing concepts of the “social state " are revealed. A retrospective of the concept formation and its practical implementation is considered, and its criteria are analyzed. It is shown that the concept of the social state is a thoroughly artificial, ideologized construction. The author's understanding of this concept is justified.
