- Abstract
- Russian sociology has faced difficulties in forming a professional identity throughout its complex history. The quantitative expansion of the community, the growth of educational programs and the emergence of new markets for sociological services have not resolved this situation, which is aggravated by the heterogeneous background of Russian sociologists, outdated organizational divisions and ideological splits. What can bring Russian sociology out of this painful and fragmented state?
