Abstract
The article examines the socio-humanitarian discourse on external migration, analyzes its gaps and ways to overcome them on the example of the cross-national project EUMAGINE. The significance of socio-demographic, structural and socio-cultural factors that determine migration expectations and plans is illustrated.
