- Abstract
- An analytical review of the main research areas of occupations and professions in modern Russia is presented. Key works in this field are highlighted, and researchers and research teams specializing in the study of professional groups are characterized. The connection of modern Russian sociology of occupations and professions with the international academic context is shown, and the main problems and challenges facing this disciplinary field are described. Generalizations are made about the preferred theoretical approaches and methods used by sociologists and anthropologists of professions and occupations in Russia.
