- Abstract
- The article analyzes the barriers to the process of management professionalization in Russia, taking into account the successes and failures of overcoming them in Western countries. The author presents arguments "for” and "against" the consideration of management as a profession, reflected in modern discussions in the English-language literature about management and professions. The paper shows that the success of management professionalization in Russia largely depends on finding common goals, an interested community, and developing its own scientific base for professional management.
