- Abstract
- When studying the process of text-oriented electronic communication in Internet communities, an ethnomethodological approach is promising. The author has conducted a study of online communication in several Russian-and Ukrainian-language chats using the method of crisis experiments, supplemented by a semiotic analysis of nicknames and a socio-dramatic analysis of the roles performed by cyber actors. Latent codes that control communication were detected: Cocktail-party-Code, Nickname-Code, and Spectacle-Code.
