- Abstract
- The article shows the important role of the state in the development of sociology in France after 1945, in the institutionalization of this discipline, encouraging the creation of research groups, research centers and laboratories. The state also promoted the financing of sociology in the country through research contracts, which contributed to the emergence of an expert figure in state organizations and the involvement of sociologists in various policy areas.
