With the development of socialist society the interest to the study of a personality increases. It is proved by the growing number of publications in this field as well as the fact that a person is becoming an object of investigation in many sciencies including natural and technical ones. The author tries to realize the system approach to the notion of personality. This notion is analysed as reflection, of first, dialectics of person's biological, psychological and social nature; second, person's «relative» and «substantial» essence correlation as essence of the first and the second order. Substantial side Of personality in its turn is differentiated by the author «horizontaly» and «verticaly» due to his analysing form and levels of persons conscionsness. These theoretical conditions serve as a basis for the solution of two approaches to sociological and complex study of personality.
