Abstract
The development of the small entrepreneurship in Russia is quite contradictory at the moment. Against the background of the declarations from state authorities on the creation of conditions for its development, the statistical observations of the Federal State Statistics Services inexorably reveal the facts that the rates and the efficiency of the small entrepreneurship development are differentiated in terms of both the branches and types of activities and the country regions. The presented work analyzes the aspects and long-term statistical calculations related to the small entrepreneurship development in the Russian Federation. The author considers a ten-year period (1999-2010) of the economy development and comes to the conclusion that the significance of the small entrepreneurship in terms of the population employment provisioning is far from its traditional level in the countries with the developed market economy model.
