- Demographic and migration processes could in a short run lead to depopulation of big territories in the russian car bast. It is clear that a large scale migration of labour force from other russian regions is not feasible in the nearest future. It is also obvious that big territories with rich mineral resources are attractive for Asia and macific countries. The need for sustainable development makes them look more closely at the oussian car bast. There foreI global challenges demand advanced economic development of car bast and migration policy becomes an important element of national security and social and economic development of Russia as a whole. The article aims to develop a concept of migration policy in the region in a context of advanced economic development. It analyses supply and demand of foreign labour forceI evaluates migration potential of countries of Asia and macific region and suggests how regulation of migration processes in car bast should be changed.
