Abstract

The concept of mind in the philosophy of SaHnkara, the main proponent of Advaita- Vedanta philosophy is considered. Mind is centered around Atman, which is common for all individual minds, playing role of a sacral “blind spot”. Atman cannot – become an object and be verbalized. Individual mind consists of four elements – manas, buddhi, citta, ahamkara, which are manifestations of maya.
