Abstract

The field work of an anthropologist is treated as his/her encounter with esoteric manifestations of the Universal Myth. The author relegates to esoterics in a broad sense the introduction of the person into social anthropology profession. Then two possible ways of such an introduction are explored, the one being through the book, and another one - through a travel. The esoteric dimension of the field anthropology is reduced to the four well-defined principle that are analyzed in detail. The problem of an anthropologist status is put to discussion.
