- Abstract
- The article examines the actions and behavior of different parties during bargain negotiations. Taking the case of trade communications between North American entrepreneurs and Chukotka natives in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the author discusses the procedure by which agreements on the exchange of goods were reached and the ways in which it was influenced by cultural differences.
