- Abstract
- The author examines the book, Staroe i novoe v izuchenii etnograficheskogo naslediia N.N. Miklukho-Maklaia (“The Old and the New in Research on Ethnographic Work of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay”), published in 2014. He discusses the contributions made by the book's authors to the historiographical study of the nineteenth-century prominent Russian ethnographer, and argues with the book editor, P.L. Belkov, who has laid a claim to having reassessed the principal issues in research on N.N. Miklukho-Maklay.
