- Abstract
- After a serious and long illness, at the 73rd year of his life, a prominent scientist ethnographer, Caucasian scholar, doctor of historical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Abdulkhalikovich Luguev died. Dagestan ethnographic science suffered a heavy loss. S.A. Luguev was born on January 28, 1940 in the city of Akhtyrka, Sumy region. Ukrainian SSR in the family of a Lak emigrant departer, forced to leave his father's house in Dagestan in search of a better share and wander along with his family in a foreign land.
