- Abstract
- V.V. Golovin and M.L. Lurie address a problem of studying comparatively youth subcultures built around "territorial" and "ideological" axes in different Russian neighbourhoods, cities, towns, and villages. They point to a specific tendency indicating that the importance of "territorial" unions is usually higher in smaller towns, where "ideological" differences are diminishing and conflicts among "ideological" groups tend to fade away. The authors examine types of conflict situations among "territorial" groups and analyze characteristic patterns of relationship among them, such as "street-street", "district-district", "centre-periphery", and others.
