- Abstract
- The article presents an analysis of big landowning in the Ukrainian Hetmanate from the period of its emergence during the uprising led by Bohdan Chmelnitski to the early eighteenth century. The author demonstrates the forms and stages of evolution of the starshinas landowning and came to the conclusion, that big landowning was totally destroyed by the 1650s.
