- Abstract
- The article is devoted to some ill-studies facts from the history of the oldest translation of the Prolog (Menologium) in the South-Slavic tradition. The main question is: when and under which circumstances quotes from the Prolog in the South-Slavic redaction were included into the composition of Bulgarian and Serbian Menaea (Menologia), both of service and festal ones. The study of Serbian manuscript tradition - as a better represented one - permits to ascribe this process to the early thirteenth century and to attribute it to the activities of the fi rst Serbian archbishop St. Sava.
