- Abstract
- One of the places in the Russian Empire, where Serbs had been finding refuge after the Russian-Turkish wars of the early ninteenth century, especially after the unsuccessful Serbian upprising of 1804—1813, became Bessarabia. The Serbian diaspora which lived there left its trace on the history of the region. The article considers the Serbian migration and the formation of the Serbian diaspora in Bessarabia, shows its destiny in the nineteenth century.
