Abstract
During the Suez Crisis, the Yugoslavian government demonstrated how they apply the new political doctrine, which was based on the principles of political distancing from both the Western, and the Eastern Blocks and was aimed at consolidation of a broader movement of non-aligned countries. Using the Suez Crisis, Yugoslavia strengthened its positions on the Near East and contributed to its own national security.
