- Abstract
- The article deals with the problem of literature anniversaries of the 1930s. Celebration of the 125 th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, similar to other literature anniversaries, refers to the national and cultural policy of Stalin. In the article, extensive material was used to demonstrate, how the Soviet national literature was created. National literature in the 1930s had no national identity; there was only an empty nominative indication to the nationality of the writer, while the content was completely usurped by the Soviet ideology.
