Abstract
in the article the questions of regulation of family education in different countries from the point of view of considering the question of whether compulsory school attendance for General education and how the right of parents to the decision of priority questions about the education of their children relates to the rights and duties of the state in this matter. Separately discussed issues relating to the definition of the term “homeschooling” and the Russian equivalent of the term “family education”. Besides the main reasons and their accompanying arguments for banning choices family education and compulsory attendance of educational institutions in the legislation of some foreign countries.
