Abstract
The article deals with municipal government organization in the United States, its particular features and models. The problem of municipal government fragmentation and mechanisms of its solution are scrutinized as well. The author analyses typical for the modern United States phenomenon of "territorial separation of resources and needs” negatively affecting American society.
